POSITION TITLE: Software Product Manager
POSITION LOCATION: Toronto, Canada
ViXS Systems is looking for a SW product marketing person to help
define the next generation of applications for ViXS SOCs. The
person will be responsible for marketing requirements documents,
presentations, reviewing technical specifications, conducting market
research and going on road-shows with sales. The ideal
candidate will develop strategic alliances with software partners
and assist in defining the SDKs with the necessary software
components and APIs that will give ViXS SOCs a competitive
advantage. The person should be comfortable in pitching
complex products effectively and clearly. The role entails
working with strategic customers and partners on developing
applications to run on ViXS reference systems, and working with
standards committees.
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, SW
programming experience and the ability to adapt to an ever changing
high tech industry. The candidate will have 5-7 years of
technical and marketing experience in the semiconductor, software
applications for the Digital TV, Digital set-top, DVD/PVR or PC
tuner markets. Technical knowledge of networking technologies,
MPEG, AVC, VC-1 and multimedia applications will benefit the
candidate greatly. Degrees in Engineering, Computer Science
are absolutely required and an MBA will greatly increase chances of
