POSITION TITLE: Director of Marketing
POSITION LOCATION: Toronto, Canada
ViXS Systems is looking for a senior marketing and business
development person to define the next generation of ViXS products.
The person will be expected to develop strategic alliances and
evangelize ViXS technology to complement and promote sales growth of
ViXS components. The person should be comfortable in pitching
products that are in conceptual stage as well as production and
should have a very good understanding of either the Digital TV,
Digital set-top, DVD/PVR, Blu-ray/HD-DVD or PC tuner markets. It is
important that the ideal candidate be able to push forth his
objectives to ensure the success of his product in the market place
as ultimately he will be responsible. The person must have a track
record of success in the high tech area and have excellent
interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities will include ASIC MRDs, business plans, marketing
plans, working with strategic customers on product development and
reference systems, technical specifications for internal and
external use, roadshows, tradeshows, assist in business development,
work with standards committees, contracts/IP procurement etc.
Technical knowledge of MPEG, AVC,VC-1, DRM, conditional access, WiFi
and display controllers will benefit candidate greatly. The person
will also play an account manager role in interfacing with key
customers and must be able to reset customer expectations. The ideal
candidate will have 7-10 years experience and will view his success
through achievable, meaningful and quantifiable successes. Compensation will partly be attributed to these successes.
