This Valuestar PC line includes the following 3 new all-in-one desktop ValueStar W, N and E Series. The NEC ValueStar come with 21.5 or 23-inch LCD, featuring an IPS Panel, using Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 (3.04GHz) processor, RAM, graphic card, large HDD, Blu-Ray disc Combo and a Digital TV Tuner. The 23-inch LCD model come with full HD resolution and both of them have 2.1 Yamaha Speaker set for a better sound reproduction.

The Valuestar line includes XCode 3106 and features the ability to transcode real-time HD MPEG2 broadcast video to HD MPEG4 AVC, allowing the VALUESTAR PC to increase its video storage capacity by six times. In addition, XCodeTM 3106 interfaces directly to Dual ISDB-T Demodulators / Tuners and has been engineered to descramble Japanese Secure Broadcast content using its integrated Smart Card controller and Security Engine. These features including high speed transcoding have allowed NEC to build a multimedia all-in-one PC with the ability to support Preview & Record and schedule a 2nd Recording while securing the recorded video content using NEC’s Digital Rights Management (DRM) security on to the Hard Drive Disk (HDD) at 1/6th the original bit rate.

NEC has introduced series of LaVie L, a new multimedia notebook. Available in different flavors, the High-end LL770/VG featuring a Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, a Blu-ray DVD combo drive, WiFi ABGN, eSATA, FireWire, HDMI Out, Bluetooth, a Wireless digital TV tuner, a 2MPix camera module and a new touchpad with handwriting recognition as well as a new 16 Full HD LCD featuring new glass panel giving a better readability and warmer colors.

ViXS XCode product has been in multiple generations of the Sony Vaio Multimedia Series.  In the latest series, the XCode® 3106 provides advanced features such as HD transcoding of HD MPEG2 broadcast video to a HD MPEG4 AVC format increased video storage. Video storage on to the local HDD has been increased by 4X, as compared to the non transcoding mode.  The XCode® 3106 descrambles Japanese Secure Broadcast content using its integrated flexible Security Engine.  The XCode® 3106 with HD transcoding also helps to provide increase video archiving storage for BD authoring to BD Discs.
