POSITION TITLE: TCP Networking Technology Architect

POSITION LOCATION: Toronto, Canada

ViXS is a fabless semiconductor and software developer focused on delivering video on any CE or PC platform.  The company has developed a semiconductor chipset and software solution for processing, managing and securing broadcast-quality MPEG video streams.  Join the ASIC design team to develop the latest ICs that implement ViXS's advanced display technology.  

 

We are looking for a Networking Technology Architect who will chart our direction in development of key networking technologies such as Ethernet, WiFi, MOCA.   The successful candidate would have direct experience of how Ethernet works.   As a technology leader, the successful candidate will be familiar with what really happens underneath tcp/ip sockets and what it takes to accelerate an SoC to achieve the limits of the physical transports of networking standards.

Requirements:

  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills. 
  • A comprehensive/detailed knowledge of TCP/IP Stack in Linux. 
  • Familiar with TCP stack optimization, such as TSO/LSO, etc 
  • Experience of Linux driver development 
  • Previous experience in MOCA /802.11/802.3 development will be valuable assets.
  • Direct experience coding networking systems and solving networking problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on algorithms and models with our ASIC team develop gate level changes to enhance performance of Ethernet.
  • Analyze Ethernet performance and optimize the system in an SOC. 
  • Develop other network components, such as router etc in the system.
