Job Title: RFIC Design Engineer, Senior
Location: Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Burbank, CA; San Diego, CA
Job Description: ViXS is developing communication RFICs in the areas of WLAN, MoCA, DOCSIS, and ISDBT. We are actively seeking talented RFIC design engineers with leadership skills that can develop RF technology from concept to full production silicon. You will be responsible for the design of radios and radio building blocks in various digital deep-submicron CMOS technologies. The radio design requires the design of RFIC blocks such as LNAs, PAs, RF Synthesizers and PLLs, IF and baseband filters, AGC, transistor modeling, RF board design, and lab characterizations.
Qualifications:
- MS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in analog and/or RFIC design
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of RF analog circuit design (LNAs, Mixers, PAs, PLLs)
- Advanced knowledge of MOS device modeling (device characteristics, noise)
- Advanced knowledge of MOS transistors and analog circuit design
- Advanced knowledge of high-speed I/O circuits a plus
- Advanced understanding of layout tradeoffs for performance and size
- Proficiency in layout, layout verification, DRC, LVS
- Laboratory skills (PCB design review, soldering, general lab debug)
- Laboratory measurement skills (analog, high-speed I/O, as required)
